Welcome to SHINEE AO3 - an archival project whose aim is to ensure that SHINee shipping content is dedicated to the Fanlore Wiki, lost SHINee fic collections are imported and archived on the AO3 and creating SHINee space on AO3 by correcting old tags, creating new ones, and ensuring that all our Shining SHINee content isn't lost to the time of the internet's ever changing landscape.New project going live Jan 01

As a collection of author and reader-wols, and a mix of people who used to create shipdom events and from different lengths of time in SHINee shipdom, we wanted to ensure that all of fandom's amazing memories of ship work in the past can be found in the future. SHINee fandom changes, new topics and trends come up in our works and arts and old fandom jokes, content and more can be lost.On top of this, SHINee does not take much room on AO3, not having many tags, funny canon or non-canon tags and such to speak of. Together, we want to fix the old AO3 tags that need updating/changing, run tagging workshops, and allow room to create space for SHINee on the Archive to create the space and take the resources the Archive wants fandoms to take, have and hold.We, together, want to ensure that all of Shawol's hard work is preserved and ensure SHINee and Shawol's spot in fandom history, and that it doesn't get lost to forum closures and etc - whilst also creating events that aren't fanfic/fic fest centric to highlight, encourage and inspire all Creatorwols amongst us.
what is the importing project?
SHINee AO3 speaks of importing project(s), but what exactly are the Mods talking about?We are talking about importing old content of shipdom to AO3 and ensuring that it is not lost to time.Why do we want to import old content?Old servers, old websites, etc. have a high chance of being deleted by the server owners, is the main reason. Old forum posts with large amounts of fics can be removed with no warning, no heads up and content can be removed and lost to time, with or without author's consent. Many places have been lost to time, buried beneath thousands of replies. Old events on LiveJournal or AFF get buried and lost unless you know what you’re specifically looking for. Plus, many years of new content bury older fics within some other sites.We were inspired by AO3 themselves; AO3 consistently imports old forums, pages that are shutting down, and etc (example 1, 2, 3).The difference is that we are a group of Shawol creators that are working independently from the Archive. We are Shawols that simply want to work with Shawols to better include old content into the long list of new content fanon creates daily. We wish to ensure that all our amazing 14 year fanon and fandom history is archived and not lost to time so that new Shawol in years to come, old Shawols from debut, and all in between are able to find content.We also have further projects we wish to do that you can find further in the Carrd!💎If you used to run a shipping event, including SHINee/non-SHINee members, and wish to archive the works from a non-AO3 site, please do reach out to us via DM or email
